Highly experienced Medical Doctor, Public Health and Implementation Science specialist, global clinical research scientist. (Dip Pharmacy, MD, MPH, IMPS) from Makerere University Uganda. Fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical medicine and hygiene, member of AFREhealth, Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, ANAC, International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care, IAPAC and the European AIDS society.
I am currently serving as the Program Technical Officer with the Makerere University research council, implementing a national wide 5-year USAID funded integrated Program in advanced Malaria innovations,
non-communicable and communicable diseases, Family Health and health systems strengthening Project awarded in December 2022. Possess vast knowledge and expertise in global public health security, infectious (HIV, Malaria and TB) and non-infectious (Multiple long-term condition, MLTC NCD multimorbidity, pandemic control leveraging on the one health approach. Global health wellbeing and control through implementation of novel scientific interventions to full scale targeting communicable and non-communicable diseases control, malaria analytical research and national wide control interventions, co-production and implementation science research, digital health interventions, international public health
policy and research methodology.
I have been involved in many projects as a technical specialist SRHR/HIV/STI/NCDs worth over £140,360,850. I am experienced in implementation science, gender transformative approaches to propose several interventions to increase sustained SRHR/HIV/NCD scale up interventions aligned to the sustainable development goals, SDGs. I have attended and presented in several SRHR/HIV conferences/workshops/seminar series in the USA, UK, Mozambique, and Uganda. I have
spearheaded the development of collaborative partnerships with local and international authorities e.g., AFREhealth and overseas universities inclusive Teesside University, UK with Makerere University, and the multi-country research collaborations. Prominent reviewer and correspondent author with the evidence global and The Lancet Infectious Diseases journals, published manuscripts in the Lancet, Springer nurture and Biomed central, BMC.
